Four mechanisms decide whether a kitchen ages well.
A kitchen is judged on its doors for about a week. After that it is judged on whether the drawers still close properly. These are the four parts doing that work.
The runner
Carries the load. Under-mount channels sit beneath the drawer box so nothing eats into the interior, and a caged ball race keeps the drawer square at full extension.
The lift
A gas strut holds an overhead shutter anywhere in its arc and returns it under damped control instead of letting it drop.
The corner mechanism
Linked arms bring the contents of a corner void out to the cabinet opening, turning the least reachable square foot in the kitchen into usable storage.
